Try this
- Name the uncertainty: “I think I would enjoy helping a buyer choose between technical options.” Make it specific enough that evidence could change your view.
- Choose a task taking two hours to two weeks. Use public or fictional information. Define what you will produce: a walkthrough, process map, short briefing or practice conversation.
- Set a boundary on time, cost and responsibility. Do not take on regulated or safety-critical work outside your competence.
- Define what good evidence looks like before starting. Include task quality, feedback and how you felt doing the work. Interest and competence are different questions.
- Add an action priority in My Future. Set a review date. After the task, record what happened, what remains uncertain and whether to continue, adjust or stop.

- The assumption, task and time limit.
- A link to non-confidential work or a brief description of what you produced.
- Feedback, what you enjoyed and your next decision.
Keep the boundaries clear
